Aeronautica bundle

I just opened my mailbox I’ve found the last Forgeworld newsletter. Among other things they have launched a time limited special offer they called
Aeronautica Bundle“. You can get both Aeronautica Imperialis and Tactica Aeronautica
for only 45 quid (you save 16 pounds!!).  I you still don’t play this amazing game now it’s
the time.

Then you only have to enter the warp, create your army list and print your wing roster!

Warp early days Combat roster scratch

Going through the thread I started last year on Warseer about WARP: Aeronautica Imperialis combat roster editor as I was working on it (I started with a white screen in front of me. No code, no database, no nothing done yet)

I made my laptop available from the internet and those willing to help connected and used
a very early version giving me a very appreciated feedback (most of what they asked for is
already done nowadays). If you’d like to see how this started and how it grow, go visit this
thread. I promise it will be an interesting reading.

You can also see the very first attempt of our combat roster ready to print. We are improving it. What you’ll see released later this week will be much cooler than that!

I’d like to thanks all those who supported our project from the very beggining. Specially all those suscribed to that thread and the staff at Forgeworld who also tested it (yes, they did!).

Aircraft thumbnails Aeronautica Imperialis snapshot

To show you that we are working hard I’ve decided to release two new snapshots of what we are doing. You already saw a very early version of our aeronautica imperialis (I hope you can appreciate the improvement in aesthetic) combat roster editor. Dani and I are doing long hours every night and we expect to have a public
beta release THIS WEEK!

We expect all of you to flood our mail with ideas or bugs you may find. I’d like to go on but I prefer to save it for the release day.

Disclaimer: All the aircraft images you see in the picture are property
of Forgeworld and Gamesworkshop PLC.

Why Aeronautica Imperialis?

Call for reinforcements Enemy sighted!

When Forgeworld released Aeronautica Imperialis I couln’t wait to get my wing ready for the dogfight! As I was reading the rulebook I noticed that it wouldn’t be too much of a problem to make a web application to print out a nice combat roster (I found myself looking at the datasheets all the time). So I spent two nights coding and doing some tests until I had something that worked pretty good (for me it was a prototype of what I called WORT at the time).

Aeronautica Imperialis is an splendid job by Warwik Kinrade.

If you still don’t know this awesome game don’t dobut it, go get it!   NOW!

Shame on us!

delayed

After of long weekend of hard work we couldn’t make it in time. We are facing some problems with our code, nothing important, is just that we won’t to make sure we come out with the best we can give you once we make WARP available to you. You’ll be soon to make create your army lists online as well as print a cool combat roster for your Aeronautica Imperialis wings.

You get the weapons profile as well as the ammo cases printed in when you print the combat roster not like the current combat roster you can download from the official Forgeworld site. (You’ll be saving a lot of ink too! Who decided the background had to be dark gray?).

Anyway, this is just a little delay. It’s 3:30 and I have to be
at work at 9 so… nighty night

What’s been keeping me busy!

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

I haven’t got out of my room for 2 days now coding and doing stuff for the WARP.  We’ll I did get out to do go and have a meal  with the rest of the team (we did diserve it!).
I’ve also done some other things like assembling a landspeeder which I hope to get painted as
soon as I have some spare time.  But what is more important: I got my Tactica Aeronautica at last!! (after 3 weeks of anxious wait). I have to say the book is pretty thin but is teeming with images and cool stuff. I’ve read all the new rules and analysed them so we could feature them in the next release of WARP. In a future post I’ll explain what this changes are and how we’ll we applying them to our application.
