Warhammer Army Roster Portal Blog

"Welcome to the WARP Project Blog. An ancient STC datasheet describing the way to create, store and share army's rosters has been found in the Warp by the Adeptus Mechanicus."

This is how they pretend to build its first units...

The official WARP Project blog

WARP garage and twitter

Follow us! Otro WARP garage

As you can see we’ve been missing for a long time. First of all let me say we are incredibly busy with our actual jobs and sadly that leaves no time for anything else. We’ve realized there’s only a way to fix this and we’ve call it the “WARP Garage“. We meet every saturday for a few hours and try to work hard on this project. We also have a new guy in the team, Luis from Cordoba. He’s helping Daniel with the WARP social network development. Another fact we’ve recently realized is that we don’t have as much time as we would like to spend on this blog so we are going to use Twitter to keep you updated with small bits of information so you’re always aware of what’s going on in the WARP. Go and follow the WARP!

WARP goes to Spain’s Games Day 2008

GamesDay 2008 Banner
We are attending this year’s GamesDay taking place in Barcelona (Spain). We want to let all the people there to know about us, and more important to know what they think about us! If you see someone wearing a cool WARP t-shirt it’s one of our team so get to him and we’ll give you a nice questionnaire for you to fill up and get the chance for the next developing process. (id est: the cool stuff! Warhammer and Warhammer 40.000).See you on sunday!

Forgeworld news

AX2-2 with drones AX-2-2 detail

Coming next moth is the new Tau AX-2-2 Drone Carrier from Forgeworld. As usual, the miniature is amazing and will make all the Air Cadre commanders happy. You can see more photos here.

Deep Striking from a Valkyrie

We’ve recieved some inteligence reporting there’s some people who said WARP sucks so we
wen’t on a a mission to obliterate them. In the video you can see me deep striking in the midst
of the enemy lines. No one messes with the WARP. You can see the photos at flickr.

And remember you still are on time to join the beta or risk being obliterated!!!

Beta testers needed

Web 2.0 logo

We have had a little break  this days and we’ve spent most of our time with our friends and family so we haven’t done much on WARP. Eventhough we are just about to release a testing version that will be available to all of you who register our blog. We’ll be sending invitations to those who have helped us getting this far as well.

Register our blog and get a slot in the beta!!

Aeronautica Imperialis special offer

Aeronautica bundle

I just opened my mailbox I’ve found the last Forgeworld newsletter. Among other things they have launched a time limited special offer they called
Aeronautica Bundle“. You can get both Aeronautica Imperialis and Tactica Aeronautica
for only 45 quid (you save 16 pounds!!).  I you still don’t play this amazing game now it’s
the time.

Then you only have to enter the warp, create your army list and print your wing roster!

Warp early days and army roster print preview

Warp early days Combat roster scratch

Going through the thread I started last year on Warseer about WARP: Aeronautica Imperialis combat roster editor as I was working on it (I started with a white screen in front of me. No code, no database, no nothing done yet)

I made my laptop available from the internet and those willing to help connected and used
a very early version giving me a very appreciated feedback (most of what they asked for is
already done nowadays). If you’d like to see how this started and how it grow, go visit this
thread. I promise it will be an interesting reading.

You can also see the very first attempt of our combat roster ready to print. We are improving it. What you’ll see released later this week will be much cooler than that!

I’d like to thanks all those who supported our project from the very beggining. Specially all those suscribed to that thread and the staff at Forgeworld who also tested it (yes, they did!).

Warp for aeronautica imperialis beta release countdown started

Aircraft thumbnails Aeronautica Imperialis snapshot

To show you that we are working hard I’ve decided to release two new snapshots of what we are doing. You already saw a very early version of our aeronautica imperialis (I hope you can appreciate the improvement in aesthetic) combat roster editor. Dani and I are doing long hours every night and we expect to have a public
beta release THIS WEEK!

We expect all of you to flood our mail with ideas or bugs you may find. I’d like to go on but I prefer to save it for the release day.

Disclaimer: All the aircraft images you see in the picture are property
of Forgeworld and Gamesworkshop PLC.

Why Aeronautica Imperialis?

Call for reinforcements Enemy sighted!

When Forgeworld released Aeronautica Imperialis I couln’t wait to get my wing ready for the dogfight! As I was reading the rulebook I noticed that it wouldn’t be too much of a problem to make a web application to print out a nice combat roster (I found myself looking at the datasheets all the time). So I spent two nights coding and doing some tests until I had something that worked pretty good (for me it was a prototype of what I called WORT at the time).

Aeronautica Imperialis is an splendid job by Warwik Kinrade.

If you still don’t know this awesome game don’t dobut it, go get it!   NOW!

Shame on us!

delayed

After of long weekend of hard work we couldn’t make it in time. We are facing some problems with our code, nothing important, is just that we won’t to make sure we come out with the best we can give you once we make WARP available to you. You’ll be soon to make create your army lists online as well as print a cool combat roster for your Aeronautica Imperialis wings.

You get the weapons profile as well as the ammo cases printed in when you print the combat roster not like the current combat roster you can download from the official Forgeworld site. (You’ll be saving a lot of ink too! Who decided the background had to be dark gray?).

Anyway, this is just a little delay. It’s 3:30 and I have to be
at work at 9 so… nighty night
